I had to dedicate a post to Doritos. I’m a big fan of their commercial campaigns. Everything has a hint of humor and I honestly appreciate that. When I watch TV I don’t want to be lectured about something I don’t need or have any use for. I want what everybody wants. Something I can relate to. It’s not complicated and I think Doritos got it right.
Doritos is always putting out these funny commercials, conveniently during Superbowl time. It’s their Crash The Superbowl Social Campaign that sees thousands of normal people, along with ad creatives & film makers creating and submitting their funniest Doritos ads in an online competition. The Winner gets their commercial played at the Superbowl and the finalists share over $5million in prizes! Tell me that’s not awesome?
I like the brand, I like the way it tastes. As far as I’m concerned, Doritos are here to stay. I think that’s why they have so much flexibility with their commercials. Doritos are everywhere in this crazy world, it just has to be pictured and exaggerated a little.
