You may think this is crazy, but NASA has made some pretty brilliant discoveries right here, in our solar system. For the first time ever, geologic features have been discovered outside of Earth. Lava is beginning to flow again on the red planet, as researchers say once did in its past. They can determine this by specific areas sculpted by volcanic activity many many years ago.
Not exactly where I’d want my summer home, but I’m positive that Mars will be viable in the future. Something else carved out from the past are waterways. Researchers have discovered well preserved channels located in the southern highlands of Mars. Plant life has also been photographed. Simply put, It’s livable to an extent.
How long will the Earth be able to sustain life? No one knows, and no one seems to have a problem. I’m just always thinking about the future and where we’re going as a people. Mars is just a pretty dot in the sky right now, but I think Mars has the potential to be the next Earth.
